Fun & sun in South Florida: executives and sports enthusiasts took in the heat as they sent summer out with a bang.

AS THE SUMMER WOUND DOWN, TEMPERATURES ROSE JUST in time for the crowd who traveled to Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, for the Black Enterprise Golf & Tennis Challenge. The weekend entered its 21st year with sunny skies and people ready to compete, relax, and network.

When attendees arrived at the PGA National Resort & Spa, they immediately had the option of test driving the Ultimate Driving Machine, a BMW, becoming familiar with the comforts of one of the luxury vehicles on-site. Joining presenting sponsors BMW, FedEx, and Pepsi for the weekend were Georgia-Pacific, Prudential, Western Spirits, Discover The Palm Beaches, Moet Hennessy USA, Tourneau, and Tres Lindas Cubanas Cigars.

Golf and tennis clinics were held throughout the weekend as guests brushed up on their skills and learned new ones. During the day, if you weren't practicing your serve or reassessing your golf prowess, you were likely at the spa being pampered. There were also various workouts ranging from the soul line, hip-hop dance, and Zumba, to belly dancing, morning yoga, the spin studio, and a Pilates barre session.

One of the most highly attended events was the hotly contested and fiercely debated Battle of the Sexes Trivia Challenge hosted by Chris Spencer. The opening rounds were ' dominated by the men, but in the end, the women were . the victors. The Life with Vision with Bevy Smith session got great reviews, as the gracious host shared her words of wisdom.
